BBA, LinkedIn Learning & HKBU Library Co-launch Go! BUer Learning Programme

The BBA programme of the HKBU School of Business has joined hands with LinkedIn Learning and the HKBU Library to launch Go! BUer Learning, a self e-learning programme to promote learning autonomy and enhance students’ digital skills in the ever-changing business landscape. A launch ceremony cum forum was conducted on 12 September 2023 on campus to kick-off the initiative with over 200 registrants.

“Knowledge is power, and lifelong learning has become a necessity in this rapidly changing era,” shared Prof. Yuk Shing Cheng, Interim Dean, HKBU School of Business, at the welcome remarks. “With well-developed platforms like LinkedIn, the School has got you covered with thousands of courses in a wide range of topics available for you to learn from anytime, anywhere. Take control of your learning journey and constantly upskill yourselves will take you far in the pursuit of excellence for your future career growth.”

Guest speakers at the forum included Mr. Ivan Wong, Head of Government and Academic, LinkedIn Hong Kong and Taiwan, Mr. Chris Chan, University Librarian, HKBU Library, Dr. Kimmy Cheng, Senior Teaching and Learning Officer, HKBU Centre for Holistic Teaching and Learning, and Mr. Ryan Man, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies), HKBU School of Business, on the topic “Unleashing the Power of Learner Autonomy”. Seminars and information sessions followed to empower students with suggestions to navigate the LinkedIn Learning platform and ace in e-learning and job hunting.

From AY2023-24, HKBU BBA students are required to fulfil e-learning requirements before graduating. This initiative aims to unlock students’ full potential by empowering them to cultivate self-learning skills and habits for their lifelong developments.
