Virtual Run connects students across geographical boundaries

img The HKBU School of Business organised its first-ever Virtual Run to promote closer integration and partnership in the HKBU community through completing a team running Challenge in a month. The event was held from 6 February to 7 March 2021.
 
Over 150 HKBU students and faculty members from 19 countries formed 73 teams to participate. The virtual run allowed participants to partner with schoolmates overseas who are unable to travel due to the pandemic. Hence the participants could take part in the event from Kazakhstan, Mauritius etc. Such flexibility prompted students to enhance interactions with their overseas peers for intercultural learnings. Each team was required to finish a minimum of 20K or 40K in total during the event period, with their running record uploaded to a designated tracking app.
 
The event featured a 20K category and a 40K category to challenge participants’ speed and endurance. The full list of winning teams are as follows:
