HKBU School of Business’s BBA proudly re-hosted the “BBA Work: ESG & Me” workshop on 23 December 2024, following the enthusiastic response from high school students during previous sessions. This event highlighted the importance of integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations into the future of business practices.
The workshop aimed to engage young minds with the critical concepts of sustainability in business, fostering a deeper understanding of how businesses can thrive while addressing global challenges. Over 30 high school students were introduced to new career opportunities in an era where sustainability is highly valued.
Through interactive sessions and discussions, participants explored the transformative impact of ESG on traditional business roles, emphasizing the need for adaptive and forward-thinking approaches. The central theme, “What if the future of business isn’t what you think it is?” encouraged students to think beyond conventional career paths and consider the broader implications of sustainable practices.
The success of the workshop reaffirms the importance of educating the next generation about sustainable business practices, preparing them to be proactive contributors to a more sustainable and responsible global economy.
