A total of four HKBU students are named Fellows under the “University Innovation Fellows” (UIF) programme run by Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design. A total of 261 students from 68 higher education institutions across 15 countries have been named Fellows under the UIF programme this year.

The HKBU Centre for Innovative Service-Learning held a pinning ceremony to recognise the achievements of these students.
The students are Ng Tsz-chung (BBA - Marketing), Liu Qianyi (BBA - Finance), Fung Wai-shan (BBA - ISBI), and Sin Ho-wang (Arts and Technology).

The UIF programme aims to empower students to become agents of change their respective institutions. To fulfill the objective, the four students completed a six-week online training to equip themselves with the knowledge to analyse the campus ecosystems and identify opportunities for change related to innovation, entrepreneurship, design thinking, and creativity. Having devised a project proposal, they will subsequently implement it transforming their ideas into reality. They will attend the “UIF Meetup 2024” to be held in April 2024 in the Netherlands to meet and exchange with other Fellows coming from all over the world.
