BBA HRM Students Clinch 2nd Runner-Up in Future HR Talents Hackathon

A team of HKBU BBA - HRM students competed against seven local university teams and clinched second runner-up in the Future HR Talents Hackathon 2023/24.
Their success was guided and coached by Dr. Felix YIP, Teaching Consultant, Department of Management, Marketing and Information Systems, and Associate Director of the Centre for Human Resources Strategy and Development, School of Business.

The winning quartet was composed of BBA - Human Resources Management Concentration Year 4 students: TANG Cheuk Lam Maggie, HO Huen Yan Kiki, WONG Yi Tung Michelle and NG Yuen Chai Nicole. The team embarked on a journey to victory, characterised by continuous dedication, meticulous preparation, which involved in-depth analysis of case data, crafting a comprehensive written report that focused on problem identification and analysis, and delivering a compelling presentation in front of judges. Their innovative ideas and strategies impressed both judges and fellow participants, solidifying their well-deserved place among the top contenders.

Organised by the Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) Human Capital Management Society (HCMS), the Future HR Talents Hackathon provides students with HR business challenges that closely resemble real-life scenarios. The annual competition encourages insights sharing, knowledge exchange, and networking among HR experts, professors, lecturers, and emerging talents.
