The BBA New Student Orientation Day was successfully held on 29 August 2024. Over 200 enthusiastic HKBU BBA freshmen participated in informative sessions and engaging team activities.

The Programme Director, Mr. Ryan Man, along with Associate Directors, Dr. Ludwig Chang and Dr. Lucia Fung, imparted substantial knowledge of the flexible curriculum and the array of opportunities that the BBA programmes encompass. Furthermore, representatives from the Language Centre, General Education Office, International Office, and Mainland and Global Engagement Section conducted enlightening presentations, equipping students with critical information to effectively steer their academic journey at HKBU.

Nevertheless, the BBA Programme adapted online interactive tools to facilitate group activities in the afternoon. Teams of new entrants and existing students built strong bonding through overcoming missions designed around the HKBU campus. The activities provided a medium for students to immerse in new environments seamlessly and mingled with their peers. The winning team, ‘Ten Out of Ten’ and selected MVPs received prizes and happily ended the day with their new friends.

All respondents expressed satisfaction with the overall arrangement while over 95% agreed the event provided a deeper understanding of the curriculum, experiential activities, graduation requirements, and Student Ambassador scheme.
